J. Paul Sugameli
J. Paul Sugameli is a principal of the firm. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Michigan State University in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2001. Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2001, he is also licensed to practice law in the United State District Court – Eastern District of Michigan as well as the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Having worked at one of the nation’s larges banking institutions and having clerked for the Oakland County Circuit Court, his practice focuses on personal and business representation in the areas of real property, residential and commercial construction, estate planning, probate, contract formation and dispute, corporate planning and acquisitions and civil litigation.
Paul’s practice also includes an extensive collection of construction and real property lien litigation cases involving creditor and materialmen rights, collection and foreclosure. Paul has been fortunate to litigate every aspect of a wide array of civil cases from pre-litigation inception, through various forms of dispute resolution, to jury trial and appeal in both State and Federal courts.
Paul is a member of the Italian American Bar Association of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association and the OCBA Inn of Court where he participates with other members of the State Bar in presentation of various topics in continuing legal education.
Paul is active in the legal community and participates in various activities including acting as an annual law school moot court judge and as both sitting and presiding judge for the annual Michigan High School Mock Trial Tournament.
